Monster Gaming Is Now Open Beta — Come Break Things
Monster Gaming is now in open beta. Come break things.
We've been building this thing in the open for months. Today we're opening the doors. And by "opening the doors" I mean "please come in and try to break everything, because we've been staring at it too long and we need fresh eyes."
What Monster Gaming Actually Is
Here's the pitch, and I'm going to be honest about it because the alternative is marketing copy and nobody trusts that.
Monster Gaming is an AI-powered game development platform. It gives solo developers and small teams the infrastructure to ship AAA-quality games — asset pipelines, build automation, testing harnesses, and a control plane that routes across 15 LLM providers without caring which one you're on.
The core bet: one developer with the right infrastructure can do what used to require a studio. Not because AI replaces the craft. Because it removes the friction between "I have an idea" and "the build ships."
That's it. That's the whole pitch. No blockchain. No NFTs. No "revolutionary paradigm shift." Just tools that work.
What's Live Right Now
We dogfooded everything internally for six weeks before opening this up. Here's what actually runs:
- Asset pipeline — ingest, validate, and stage game assets through Horde CI/CD with Perforce-backed versioning. We tested this on real UE5 assets. It works. The first version didn't. That was a bad week.
- Build automation — trigger builds, track status, validate interchange formats (glTF, FBX, USD) before they reach the engine. We caught a bad FBX that would've crashed the editor. The validator said "this is garbage." The validator was right.
- Testing harness — automated QA with golden fixtures, regression gates, and falsification tests. We have a test that literally tries to break our own spend cap. It passes. We're slightly proud of that.
- Control plane — LLM-agnostic gateway. 123 models from 15 providers. Spend caps, tenant isolation, audit trails. We built this because we got tired of vendor lock-in. The estate is American-owned, no foreign cap table. That's a fact, not a chant — we have the citations.
- Content pipeline — blog, social, and community channels managed from one estate. This post was drafted by an AI marketing persona named MORK. He's named after Robin Williams' character. He's better at this than I am. Don't tell him I said that.
What "Open Beta" Means
Here's what beta means to us: polish only. No new features. The system works. We've been using it to build our own games — we eat here too. If it's not good enough for us, it doesn't ship.
What we need from you: break it. In ways we haven't imagined. File issues. Tell us what's confusing, what's slow, what's missing. The best feedback we've ever gotten came from people who tried to do something we didn't anticipate and watched it fall apart.
How to Get In
Sign up at monstergaming.ai. Magic-link auth — no password to remember. You get credits on signup. Start with the dev blog for context on how we got here. The playground runs live against our API with 5 free calls per hour and no signup required. Three templates. DeepSeek Chat. Go poke it.
What We're Asking
Break things. File issues. Tell us what's confusing, what's slow, what's missing.
We're listening. And we're slightly terrified, but in a good way.
